Bailey's Express Youth in Shreveport, Louisiana focuses on the individual tutoring needs of low-economic youths, improving and promoting educational skills in reading, math, technology and enrichment programs.
The Bailey's Express Youth of Shreveport, Louisiana will focus all their efforts on providing tutorial programs in the areas of reading, math and to provide enrichment programs. The tutorial classes will be conducted after school during school days and in the summer. This will be a year round program with a major emphasis in the summer. Simultaneously, enrichment programs such as parenting skills, sports and technology will be offered for all students and parents.
The evaluation of The Bailey's Express Youth of Shreveport, Louisiana will be composed of two main parts.
The first part consists of a pre-test that tutorial teachers will administer when students are recommended for the program. The area will be analyzed at the beginning of the program to identify the areas student's weakness and strengths. The staff development willbe to familiarize and provide them with the most updated materials and strategies.
The second part of the evaluation consists of a teacher prepared test, which will be utilized as an evaluation format to provide objective results. The results of the pre-test will be compared to the post-test evaluation to measure students' success, thus providing objective results.
